Forget the bowls full of mashed potatoes and stuffing and prepare to eat off a plate with a few of these delicious turkey cranberry sliders!
Because who needs multiple turkey sandwiches? Which would you rather eat: a sandwich or a turkey bowl?
Makes: 4 slider servings, or 12 slider servings
2 ½ pounds turkey breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
3 (4 ounce) boxes ready-to-bake stuffing mix, packed
1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
1 orange, peeled and thinly sliced
4 miniature pretzel buns, 1/2 inch thick
4 tablespoons raspberry preserves
2 (8 ounce) cans sliced cooked-to-order turkey meatballs
4 plum tomatoes, quartered
Combine turkey with stuffing mix in a medium size bowl and mix well to coat evenly. Place turkey mixture on a non-stick baking sheet and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place a serving plate on top of baking sheet.
Bake turkey until juices run clear and the bread is toasted, 8 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine apples, orange, preserves and turkey meatballs in a medium bowl.
Turn oven to broil and broil both sliders until lightly browned, 3 to 4 minutes each side.
Remove the sliders from the oven and place on a plate. Place tomato slices on the sliders and serve.
